Catchthemes:Featured Gallery and Catchthemes:Featured Portfolio widget is suitable for this widgetized area. You can hide this sidebar also. Go to Design Settings tab under Theme Options Menu. Click on Home Page Sidebar Options. You can change the settings as you like.
